Automotive Testing Technology International has named Microsys the Crash Test Company of the Year in it’s 2008 awards. Microsys was selected as this years winner following the creation of an innovative product which inflates airbags using compressed gas as an alternative to expensive inflators. The operating cost of the Cold Gas Airbag Inflation System is about 90% lower than an inflator, with 10 times greater repeatability. It is also more environmentally friendly than airbag inflators, and will cut down the nu
mber the of airbags that are sent to landfills every year.
This is the most prestigious award in the crash test industry.

"Congratulations to everyone at Microsys for this incredible achievement." said Corey Miller, Microsys President. "I couldn't say it any better than the publication when it described Microsys as having "the very best minds and technologies". "The Cold Gas System is a revolutionary technology for development of airbags and airbag related products. We are thrilled to receive this award, and have been very excited to receive extremely positive feedback from the many progressive organizations that have already incorporated the Cold Gas System into their R&D process"
