Correlating Performance of Cold Gas System to Airbag Inflators

Synopsis: The Cold Gas System is a test instrument that replaces airbag inflators for R&D testing of airbags, instrument panels, cushions and materials. The first step when using the Cold Gas System is to tune it's gas output to match an inflator. This workshop will use case studies to explain the tuning process for curtain airbags and passenger side airbags. Once the Cold Gas System is tuned airbag deployments have much higher repeatability than when using an inflator, and at a much lower cost.
