For Immediate Release
Toolkit puts crash analysis
on the desktop of Product and Test Engineers.
Mississauga, ON Canada, 3 November 2003: Microsys
today announced the release of a Crash Analysis
Toolkit for it's PowerPlay analysis software. This
toolkit puts sophisticated injury calculations on to
the desktop of test engineers and product engineers.
This degree of insight into the safety performance
of a vehicle has until now been beyond the reach of
most product engineers. With the PowerPlay Crash
Analysis Toolkit, Product Engineers can now view
sensor data, perform injury calculations and analyze
the results unlike any other product.
PowerPlay's menu driven and intuitive operator
interface guides the engineer through a crash
analysis. Extensive knowledge of crash algorithms is
not required. A powerful sensor mapping function
automatically locates the sensor files required for
each algorithm. PowerPlay Crash Analysis Toolkit is
compatible with the ISO file naming convention and
many other naming conventions as well. Professional
quality reports can be generated and either printed
or saved as a pdf file.
"The combination of the new crash toolkit along
with the outstanding high-speed video viewing and
analysis tools that already exist in PowerPlay
provides a comprehensive but easy to use package.
This is what the occupant safety industry has been
asking for." says Corey Miller, President. "Putting
the data into the hands of the product engineer will
result in faster design cycles and safer
automobiles"
The PowerPlay Crash Analysis Toolkit may be used
either standalone or in conjunction with the
industry leading Microsys SureFire system for
control of crash facility instrumentation.
